Baptism Covid Guidance

Update dated 18th October 2021

Please find below details of the guidelines that as a church we are still following for Baptisms.  Even though there are now no legal requirements to follow the guidelines below, we as a church would hope that by doing so you respect your fellow guests and clergy.  We hope that you and your guests will follow the points below:

  1. There is now no restrictions on the number of guests for a baptism.

  2. We do advise that whenever possible people in church observe social distancing when seated and when moving around.

  3. We ask that the parents of the child keep a record of their family and friends who attended the service. If later it is found that someone develops Covid we ask that you inform ourselves and we will then advise the NHS Track and Trace Team. Alternatively you can still use the NHS QR Code when entering the church.

  4. We strongley advise that face coverings are worn when in church. These can be removed by parents and godparents for the baptism and also when photographs are taken after the service.

  5. The Baptism Preparation Class will still continue however, the numbers may need to be restriced so that we adhere to social distancing etc. This regrettably will extend the time that you have to wait to be given a date for the class and also for the baptism. Baptisms Preparation Classess are usually held on the second Tuesday of most months.

For more information please contact Reverend Kevin Greaves (details are on our contact page).
